Make sure your Audio 8 dj is connected to your laptop or computer. You don't have to run traktor to view the power supplied to your audio 8 dj. Make sure the usb power is not shared. The hub is self-powered 2.
Total power available mA per Port 3. Attached Devices - Audio 8 dj running under mA. Miguel Angel , Jan 25, I gave up and just stuck with mac and got rid of bootcamp because it was causing problems with pro tools loading slow because of partition. Native instruments said it was something to do with the way xp handles request to the cpu to use the usb ports so maybe stopping other process's like what people suggested would have worked but like I said mac works smooth 4 me.
Thanks all 4 the help though! Conclusion is that the clubs power is hell wrong made i guess. I will try to get an adapter to the power core and see if this is the problem. When noise came from my computer was when i plugged in the power from the laptop to the wall BUT when i just ran through the battery the noise diapered which also is damn frustrating. After the gig i toold the owner that i wont play anymore there till i have a solution for this.
Messages: 12, Karlos Santos , Jan 31, I tried different holes in the wall and the same problem but i will look into the grounds loop isolator thingy Thank you Karlos. Strange thing was it never HUM"ed" when i plugged out the soundcard. Noise coming from a laptop using windows is a know problem.
What I states above worked for me and other. If you have a mac why the hell are you trying to run windows.
Just stick to mac. Miguel Angel , Feb 3, Messages: 7, How about some helpful diagnostics advice instead of turning the discussion into a Mac windows fanboy B! He is having problems doing so, try working with that instead.
Humx or a similar product is a good but not gauranteed defense against ground loops. A number of low budget soundcards and poorly ground referenced PC's will exhibit this problem. I've built one or two systems myself that had this issue and had to change out motherboards to completely eliminate the problem. When the power supply was replaced in the Mac, the problems were solved. It also happens in games. I already know the problem is not with the sound files or the CD's.
Before, we had a Soundblaster 16 PCI in the machine, and the sound was crackling, so we changed to the Soundblaster PCI , and the sound is still crackling. And ideas? If you've changed out sound cards and still have the crackling problem, that leaves the speakers and speaker cables. Try another set of speakers and see if the problem goes away. Miz ,. Minor crackling in XP guest. This was introduced in 5. It is not as bad as the Windows 10 crackling, but is sufficiently annoying and did not exist prior to 5. This ticket interferes with crackling audio with Windows 10 guests on Linux hosts but I will keep it open because this ticket has the extra information that this problem apparently started recently with VBox 5. Performed additional testing. Downgraded VirtualBox from 5. I was able to confirm that 5. I was pretty confident that an older kernel in conjunction with 5.
