Publish Preview. I have an old digital meter, which was fairly cost effective for me. The meter has quite a few limitations: 1 You can only set a speed and it will suggest aperture for a given ISO 2 The EV readings are only in EV you have to convert to other ISOs 3 The trigger is a loud clicking noise which sounds like the clicker we used to train our dog--she gets excited any time I use it in dog listening distance. There was an excellent book called "Way Beyond Monochrome" which is unfortunately out of print that had a few projects in there.
One was an exposure wheel. You can get the PDF here: www. Post Reply Preview. C AM Hale Posted 13 years ago. Edited by C AM Hale member 13 years ago. I don't think any grinding in a meter is normal. Heavy and solidly built. They also have a digital version. The Zone IV version adjusts the meter to match the sensitivity of black and white film. Handy when you start metering through your filters, but not necessary.
I have one of these meters and it has suddenly died. It is the non digital version. I can see where the 9 volt battery goes but cant find where the AAA battery goes. Before I consign it to bin I would like to change both batteries.
Could you advise please? Does this model have two batteries.? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Last edited by a moderator: Feb 24, Apr 8, 6.
